Christine Ramey - 30a Artist

Mixed-media artist, Christine Ramey, creates Pop Art inspired by the beautiful architecture and people of Florida's Scenic Highway 30a.  She begins her process with a drawing then adds watercolor, acrylic, pastes, inks and various ephemera to create happy, whimsical pieces of highly textured art.  Her art is filled with quirky kids and topsy-turvy worlds that will take you back to the freedom of childhood imaginings.

Christine has lived all over the United States from South Carolina to California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana State University in Fine Arts.  Together with her partner, Frank, she spent many years residing in New Orleans, and now calls the Florida Panhandle home.

You may have seen Christine's artwork most recently as part of the "Destin Banner Art Project" in Destin, Florida.  She was also featured in 2013 in the American Craft Council's "Vintage Photo Project" online.  See her work in person at her gallery, Art & Soul 30a and at Mermaids of 30a both in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.
